Pressure Independent Control Valves (PICVs) Improve System Performance and Optimize Delta-T.

Siemens PICVs integrates three functions into a single device. Siemens PICVs have the unique advantage of always maintaining their full stroke, regardless of the maximum adjustable flow setting, to provide better control. This significantly reduces or eliminates hunting for the right actuator setting, resulting in better control and increased comfort.

Every  Siemens  valve and actuator  is  factory tested and goes above and beyond with rigorous lifecycle testing for higher reliability.

  • Red brass body with NPT-threaded end connections.
  • Low seat leakage rate (≤0.05 percent of Cv).
  • 50:1 rangeability per VDI/VDE 2173.
  • Spring-loaded, self-adjusting packing.
  • Accurate positioning to ensure state of the art temperature control.
  • Directly coupled electric and pneumatic actuators for easy mounting.
  • Sizes range from 1/2 in. to 2 in.
  • Valve designs provide equal percentage flow characteristic for water and linear flow characteristic for steam.
  • Stainless steel stem and metal-to-metal seats.
  • Repack and rebuild kits for field servicing.

Consists of two-way threaded valves ranging from ½- to 2-inches with maximum flow settings from 0.3 to 50 gpm and flanged valves with line sizes from 2½- to 6 inches with maximum flow settings from 19 to 860 gpm. The differential pressure operating range as low as 2.3 psi to as high as 90 psi. These valves control hot and chilled water with up to 50% glycol over a temperature range of 35° F to 250° F.

A smaller footprint matters.

No matter how complicated your pipe network, Siemens PICVs are the right fit. No extra piping is required when installing any size of Siemens pressure independent control valves.  No extra pipe means reduced material costs and fewer leak points.

“Contractors often find themselves dealing with unexpected customer crises like power disruptions, unexplained energy spikes or equipment failure. Reactive solutions can be hurried, short-term and expensive. While these situations may seem unavoidable in the moment, they can often be detected early, saving time, money and inconvenience. Today, electrical contractors need to provide cost-effective tools to help customers proactively manage energy consumption. Tools like modern submeters and Energy Management Systems (EMS).

Submeters are installed downstream of the utility meter the utility meter to monitor systems and tenant usage, and have proven to be effective for diagnosing and preventing problems with key building systems. When combined with EMS, they provide insights into a building’s flow and consumption of electricity, so building managers can make informed decisions about energy use.

By understanding the customer’s business, type of building, energy demand, pain points and constraints, contractors can guide them to solutions that will save them money, time and energy-related headaches.”

The key to success in energy efficiency – Transparent energy monitoring

Energy efficiency is truly a key to economic success. Therefore, an energy management system must be easy to implement. Phoenix Contact, a vendor of Broudy Precision, offers an innovative and coordinated portfolio of sensor and measurement technology products that streamline installation and simplify energy data acquisition. Future-oriented communication solutions and digital services help you to integrate, manage, and process your data. Check out the lastest Energy Meters from Phoenix Contact below.

Beyond the user experience, Phoenix Contact offers a solution for each of the three major industrial Ethernet protocols: EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus TCP.

Integrating the meters into physical power systems is also simple, with the ability to interface directly with Rogowski coil split-core CTs or with traditional current transformers. Direct voltage support of up to 700 V AC with the option to use potential transformers for higher voltages means these meters can be deployed throughout the North American market on a variety of power systems. Simply put, machine-level energy measurement has never been so simple or straightforward.

Advantages

  • Easily retrofit current measuring technology with the PACT RCP set without having to remove system parts
  • Transform alternating currents up to 4,000 A using a single universal PACT RCP measuring system
  • Fast, reliable and tool-free installation: plug-in current transformers with Push-in Technology.

PACT current sensors

Easy retrofitting, quick wiring

PACT RCP current transformers based on the Rogowski coil are the perfect replacement current transformer for retrofitting without having to remove system parts. The PACT current transformer product family features a complete range for converting high alternating currents into 1 A secondary currents. Versions with Push-in connection help you perform your wiring quickly and safely.

Current transformers for retrofitting

Fast installation in a confined space

PACT RCP current transformers for retrofitting can be conveniently mounted where there is not enough space for split-core current transformers. For energy meters with direct Rogowski coil connection, the PACT RCP current transformers can measure currents up to 10,000 A – they are connected directly to the appropriate meter without the need for a measuring transducer. For systems that require a more traditional CT or transducer input, it is possible to capture AC currents up to 4,000 A and convert them into a secondary alternating current of 1 A or into an analog standard signal of 4…20 mA, for example, depending on the type of downstream measuring transducer.
