This month we are Featuring some of the JOHNSON CONTROLS products we have available at Broudy Precision, including The Variable Air Volume VAV, F4-VAV Box Controller (CVM), and Pressure Independent Control Valves.
The Variable Air Volume (VAV) terminal unit family of products includes 5 product families allowing control of conditioned air from 100 – 8,000 CFM’s.
The families of VAV terminal units are as follows.
- TSS, Single Duct Units – cooling and heating (hot water and electric)
- TCS, Series Fan Powered Units – cooling and heating (hot water and electric)
- TVS, Parallel Fan Powered Units cooling and heating (hot water and electric)
- TDS, Dual Duct Units consists of a hot and cold deck (ducting) to VAV unit
- TSX, Retrofit Units consists of supply and exhaust
F4-VAV Box Controller (CVM)
The CVM03050 equipment controllers are designed for variable air volume (VAV) box applications. CVM03050 controllers operate on an RS-485 BACnet MS/TP bus as BACnet Advanced Application Controllers (B-AACs), and integrate into Johnson Controls and third-party BACnet systems.
VP140 1/2 Inch to 2 Inch (DN15-DN50) Pressure Independent Control Valve
VP140 Series Pressure Independent Valves (PICVs) are designed to regulate the flow of hot or chilled water and 50% glycol solutions in response to the demand of a controller in HVAC systems. The pressure independent valves eliminate the need for separate balancing valves. These valves are available in sizes 1/2 in. through 2 in. (DN15 through DN50) with factory-mounted Johnson Controls® Non-Spring Return and Spring Return Electric Actuators for floating or proportional control or valve only configuration.
