The JACE® 8000 controller is the hardware platform optimized for Niagara 4. This next-generation controller features a global design that functions with legacy systems and has the ability to scale for future needs. The JACE 8000 controller offers significant improvements over previous generations. 

 

JACE 8000 internet of things (IoT) controller and server platforms are for connecting multiple and diverse devices and subsystems. With internet connectivity and web serving capability, JACE 8000 controllers provide integrated control, supervision, data logging, alarm, scheduling, and network management. Controllers stream data and rich graphical displays to a standard web browser via an ethernet or wireless LAN or remotely over the internet. Niagara Enterprise Security is an application that runs within the Niagara Framework® on the JACE 8000. Niagara Analytics is a data analytics extension to the Niagara Framework available on JACE 8000 controllers. The JACE 8000 controllers' licensing model is simplified and features standard drivers, along with optional I/O and field bus expansion modules for ultimate flexibility and expandability. The JACE 8000 controller operates with Niagara 4, the latest version of the Niagara Framework, for optimum performance. In more extensive facilities, multi-building applications, and large-scale control system integrations, Niagara 4 supervisors can be used with JACE 8000 controllers to aggregate information, including alarms and historical and real-time data, to create a single, unified application.

The JACE 8000 controller leverages all of the features of Niagara 4. It adds to the enhanced user experience, maximizing Niagara’s advantages in delivering HTML5 views, charting and other aspects of data visualization, as well as its robust security and improved device management capabilities. With simple configuration, tool-less installation, low-cost integration and high-powered performance, the JACE 8000 controller is a dramatic evolution in connecting and controlling devices worldwide.

Wireless Capability

Standard Wi-Fi offers enhanced wireless capability when interfacing with the next generation of wireless sensors and devices. The JACE 8000 controller also is configurable as an access point so that mobile phones and tablets can display information and advanced graphics. Expansion also is available when interfacing with other wireless fieldbuses seen in connected buildings.
